Transitional Kitchen Design with a Contemporary Flair

This was the first major home renovation for this Algonquin Illinois family. They were looking for a beautiful, timeless, family friendly kitchen. This space offers transitional white perimeter cabinetry with a gray stained island, quartz countertops, contemporary glass backsplash and dark wood stained Moors. Dining options include a dark stained table with ladder back chairs along with complementary bar stools. Neutral fabrics & stylish light fixtures &  finish the kitchen plan.

Transitional Double Island Kitchen

If you already have contractors for your renovation, but need help selecting products and materials for your space, this project is a perfect example of the Kitchen Design Consultation services.  The contractor for this home contacted us because the home owner was having trouble choosing the products for him to install.  Once the homeowner learned about our Consultation services, she scheduled her appointment and the selection process began.  In addition to connecting to the main level of the home, this kitchen has a back stairway to the upper level of the house.  As a part of the Design Consultation we tackled this dilemma for her.  We discussed the color palette and flooring for the entire home ensuring their was a holistic approach in the selection of the products and materials.   The final renovation included determining the wood floor color, cabinet colors, countertops, backsplash tile, hardware, light fixtures, window treatments, furniture and paint colors for the home.

Traditional White Kitchen Design

This Kitchen Renovation in Long Grove, Illinois was completed along with the rest of the entire house. In addition to the overall beautication of the kitchen, traffic flow from the dining room to the kitchen was improved. The final renovation included refinishing the floors, white perimeter cabinetry with black island cabinetry, slate backsplash & decorative stove hood.  Upgraded appliances, custom counter stools, window treatments & lighting complete the space.

Old World Meets New World Kitchen Design

Through the renovation process, the Kitchen Design Plan for this residence evolved in a pleasantly surprising way. It was time for this older farmhouse style home in Woodstock, Illinois to receive updates. With other areas in the home in the process of remodeling, the kitchen was next on the list. The design plan was for the kitchen included adding new wood floors, installing new, larger windows and adding a combination of brown & white hickory wood cabinets & quartz countertops. Once the demolition began, original brick column were exposed and incorporated into the design of the kitchen island. We installed a brick veneer backsplash and large farmhouse style sink along with upgraded appliances. A wall became a centerpiece for the clients love of cookbooks and another for her unique artwork. This kitchen was a labor of love and came out beautifully.

Rustic Kitchen Renovation

When we entered this home for the initial Consultation, it was obvious that the existing “wow factor” in this kitchen was the beautiful fireplace with stone surround.  The rest of the kitchen was in need of updating and repair.  We designed the space with colors, products and materials that would continue to showcase the fireplace and also the wood beamed ceiling.  We replaced windows, updated the lighting and replaced the wood floors throughout the main level.  We removed a portion of the cabinetry in the kitchen to allow for a larger island and installed white perimeter & gray island cabinetry with shaker style doors, granite countertops.  In addition,  the existing backsplash was repaired, light fixtures were installed  and neutral paint color palette finished the rustic kitchen design project.

Classic Kitchen Design

Contractors were already in the process of renovating this Arlington Heights, IL kitchen when we were brought in for Design Consultation for the finishing touches in the kitchen and then also, complete the Interior Design Consultation and Furnishings for the rest of the main level of the home.   For the kitchen, we consulted on the design of the cubbies in the back entry of the kitchen, selected the light fixtures, backsplash tile, countertops, cabinet hardware, window treatments and paint color palette.  Once the kitchen renovation was complete, we designed a custom furniture plan for the rest of the living areas in the home that included furniture, rugs, artwork, window treatments and accessories.
